Hello. I was born "Baby Girl Stone" on October 10, 1954 in Baltimore, Maryland.
My name was changed 9 months later when my adoption was finalized.
I have spent the last 35 years searching for my birth mother, Carol Lee Stone,
born 1/15/1935 to Lawrence Carroll Stone and Corneal Wood Stone.
In the last year, I have learned that I have a sister, born in Corning
Hospital, Corning, NY, in 1951. Upon discharge from the hospital, she was
driven to Baltimore and delivered to her waiting adoptive parents.
My sister may not know that she was born in New York. Her Maryland birth
certificate would not show that. Depending on what her adoptive parents told
her, she may not know that she, too, was born "Baby Girl Stone" or even that
she was adopted.
I have put this page up because I am tired of finding nothing on Google.*
Sister, if you are searching for me, I hope that you have enough information to
find me. I believe our mother is dead, but it would be wonderful to have a
sister!

* UPDATE!!
On July 17, 2011, I found my brother through a Google search. We
spoke on the phone, and I discovered that our mother-- and her mother-- are
alive! Ten days later, David and his family came to my house in Virginia from
Memphis, TN, and took me to Baltimore to meet Carol and Corneal. What a
wonderful experience!
